The Powers Museum's permanent collection includes over 14,000 items and is growing every year. Since museum display space is limited, only a small percentage of artifacts are on display at any one time. Artifacts that are not on display are available for research or educational study. Like the resources of the archival collection, items in storage can be consulted by prior arrangement. Contact the museum for the appropriate application and to make an appointment.

Items in the collection include:

  • Leisure Activity Collections
  • Topsy Turvy Puzzles
  • Textiles & Fashion Collections
  • Powers Family Quilts and other bed coverings
  • Photographic & Visual Image Collections
  • Daguerreotype Exhibit with Powers Museum Images
  • Limestone Quarries & Related Photographs & Documents
